According to the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, there are five basic levels of needs. This theory states that every need must be satisfied to a suitable extent so that it ceases to become a motivating factor. Maslow stated that self-actualization and esteem are the two most motivating factors and concluded that these higher order needs have to be at the highest place as a workplace motivator.
